About Us
We are an investigative newsroom that is reporting on the civic nature of science around the world. The primary goal is to bridge the gaps between scholarship and practice in civic science by making it more accessible, informative, and actionable for diverse decision-makers in the field who are building solutions to benefit society. The Lab conducts investigative civic science journalism to interrogate and unravel ongoing progress and shed light on important developments across the field. The Lab generates new questions for the stakeholders we engage in order to shed light on the actionable insights for researchers across scientific fields and training stages, in addition to practitioners such as science engagers, science journalists, funders, educators, community leaders, and others.
