DESCRIPTION:Exchange Café in Washington\, D.C.\, 2024\nThis gathering marks the 10th Exchange Café hosted by Fanuel Muindi through the Civic Science Media Lab since the series began in 2019. \nThe Exchange Café aims to bring together innovators\, entrepreneurs\, scholars\, practitioners\, and other changemakers from across the civic science landscape. Across the first nine gatherings\, which began in the Boston area\, participants found space to connect and share lessons from their work. This 10th gathering continues that tradition with an opportunity to reconnect\, exchange ideas\, and build new relationships across the field. It is also the first Exchange Café of 2026. \n\nWho it’s for\nThe informal gathering is for prospective and current civic science practitioners\, scholars\, funders\, and others across the ecosystem. This includes people working in science communication\, citizen science\, informal STEM learning\, public engagement\, and related fields. \nWhat to expect\nThis will be a small\, informal gathering centered on conversation and connection. Tea\, coffee\, pastries\, and other small bites will be sponsored by the Civic Science Media Lab. The Exchange will take place at Maman Cafe on 9th St. There is nothing to prepare.
